HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)
Hello, friend!

I Have an HG8245Q2 router, and an external HDD plugged into the USB port in it. I would like to share media with subtitles using the Media sharing function, and all works OK except, that I can not see the subtitles. What do I have to do to see the subtitles? What format should the subtitles be in?

Thank you!

Hi, friend!

If the file can be accessed through the USB port, the media sharing function is normal.

Generally, no subtitles are displayed because the video file cannot be played properly due to incompatibility with the player.

You need to check whether the video format is compatible with the player.

Thanks!

Hello,

Please refer to the following details:

Click Advanced Configuration > Application tab, and choose Media Sharing

in the navigation tree on the left. In the right pane, configure the media

sharing settings, Then click Apply. as shown in the following Figure:

11

If you cannot access files on the USB storage device through the PC, perform the following operations:

1. Confirm whether the USB sharing and printing function is turned on. This option is under the application menu. If not, then your device may be a customized machine of the operator, and the media function cannot be used. Please contact the operator for technical support.

2. Check whether the USB port is securely connected.

3. The USB storage device is damaged. (Do not remove or insert the USB device during use. Otherwise, files in the device may be damaged.)

4. Your device (application terminal) does not support the DLAN function

5. Check whether the specified path is enabled. The possible cause is that no file exists in the specified path.

Thanks
