HG8245Q2 Port Forwarding does not work (Telmex fiber customer)

This post is about the issue that the HG8245Q2 Port Forwarding does not work (Telmex fiber customer). Please see more details as you read below.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

There seems to be no clear documentation and examples of setting up port forwarding. There is also no significant information for the HG8245Q2 online at all. I can't make this feature work. What am I missing?

What is required in the configuration panels for single port forwards? For example I am not restricting to any set of IP addresses. The inbound port I am specifiying under 'Forward Rules' and 'Port Mapping Configuration' and Port Forward is not working. 

The specified ports are not being forwarded to the device named in this table on the LAN. I have for example set up a Static DHCP address based on MAC for my PC of an IP within the range of the DHCP server. I then created an entry under 'Port Mapping Configuration', where I select the HostName of my PC at which time the IP address (same as static I set) is pulled in the expected IP address and I save but nothing inbound on the port gets directed to my PC and online tests show the port is closed as well from several websites. I assume that a trigger does not have to be set up because this is the method of setting up constant port forwards with other routers.

I would like first a simple guide and then a full manual for this ONT if possible. I'd also like to know if there is a tool I can download to manage the hw_ctree.xml file and the tools to encrypt and decrypt.
