i have updated my HG8245 with version V1R006C01S201 found on the internet.

i am registered on support huawei portal, have searched for available firmware but no where to be found.

is this good firmware i have installed? if not can i have the correct firmware sent to me please?

Hi,
If you want to Upgrade the ONT software version to the latest software version, suggest you obtain the software version: V100R006C00SPC220 or V100R006C01SPC220.
While we cannot obtain the firmware from the Huawei support website portal due to the Echolift HG8245 has ended of service at 06-30-2017.
For your issue, you had better contact the local Huawei Technical Service Hotline.

to get the latest software you have to register your device in Huawei support website and then you can get the software

enter the below website:
https://support.huawei.com/enterprisemysupport/mysupport#click=myproductthen
and login then enter information of your device and after some working days . your account will be upgraded into customer account

Hello,
Because of the ONT version should compatible with your OLT version , if version doesn't compatible , may your service cannot work , suggest you contact with your ISP or HUAWEI TAC for suggestion.

i contacted huawei technical service hotline and they couldnt help.
i an a field service engineer so i know the risks involved with wrong firmware.
can you help and give me the possibility of upgrading my device please?

Maintenance contract for what? New rules in Italy we can use different router that the one provided by vodafone.
i purchased the hg8245 from a recognized seller. the device provider is just a seller.

You can ask this seller for firmware, if he doesn't, he can find his superior supplier.
