Hello, all!

Huawei HG8245


ISSUE DESCRIPTION


I am using a Huawei HG8245 router. It works pretty well, but, every time I connect my laptop to it, the laptop gets a different IP address.


I am wondering if there is an option to reserve the DHCP addresses on this router?

The DHCP Server Configuration page is absolutely useless at this point.

hi,dhcp is Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol.If you want own one IP address longer,you can set Leased Time longer.

The lease time of the DHCP server is 72 hours by default, and it can be configured manually. The maximum lease time is 10 weeks and the minimum is one minute.

Thanks.

Not exactly, what i want, but, seems, i will connect once every 10 weeks and it will be a RATHER stable solution, before i restart the router, ofcourse.


It whould be great, if Huawei could include DHCP Reservation in next firmware upgrades for the respective model.
