I am using a Huawei HG8145V5, and I cannot

find neither on your website nor on the CD-ROM the open

source software used to build or modify the firmware.


In conformance to the GPL license, you have to release the

following sources:


a complete toolchain that made the kernel and applications be

compiled (GCC, Binutils, Libc)

tools to build a custom firmware (mksquashfs, mkcramfs ...)

kernel sources with patches to make it run on this specific

hardware.

It's too disgusting that customers can't even have upgrades for their products.

i agree with you... i bought 20pcs of this item to my supplier and they didnt give me the firmware for upgrade... this is huawei website and im wondering why they give restrictions to this firmwares? and yet we are buyers of their products...

It's not that you can't get the device firmware, it's just that you need to get the device firmware according to the acquisition process.
