HG630 V2: can't open configuration page

Hello there;

My browser gives me "Unable to connect" error when I try to open configuration page.

When I use Windows "Network" screen to open web config page or view details is shows strange IP (Screenshot attached).

HG630 V2

Trails I did before posting my questions:

1- Power Reset.

2- Different browsers.

3- Different devices including mobile device.

4- http and https.

The modem is working fine as internet modem and I connect to all websites without issues.

It reply to PING commands and I used network scanners to confirm the IP but it doesn't show any open ports for connections except for port:53 with label: Domain Name Server.

I'm afraid to do a hard reset without being able to open configuration page again, in that case I will lose internet access as well.

Is away to get my configuration page up again? Can firmware be updated to re-installed using USB without using configuration page?

Hello, friend!


The HG630 V2 provides an intuitive web management page where you can view or set the HG630 V2 parameters. Before you log in to the HG630 V2 web management page, ensure that the computer used for the login is connected to the HG630 V2 and has been configured to automatically obtain an IP address or assigned with a static IP address.

1. Open a browser. In the address box, enter 192.168.1.1. Press Enter. 

2. Enter the login user name and password. Click Login.

To protect against unauthorized access, change the user name and password after the first login.

3. Choose Home tab, click Start Wizard.

4. On the I want to... Connect to the Internet page, select Agree, click Next.

5. Select a network connection type and set network parameters, click Next. Recommended choosing Connect automatically. You can also refer to the following table to configure the network connection.

Thanks very much for the help, I really appreciate it. But I'm afraid that the answer isn't very much related to the issue I'm having.

I can't proceed to step #1 "1. Open a browser. In the address box, enter 192.168.1.1. Press Enter." since it the page doesn't open. That's my main issue.

Hi, have you set the IP address of the computer? The IP address must be in the same network segment as the IP address of the device.

Yes. I believe it's the same.

HG630 V2

I have also run port scan using FING application and only port 53 is open and I think it should find at least port 80 and 443 for http/s to allow configuration webpage to open.

Hello, friend!


I understand your problem: you can't open the device's WebUI, and other friends on the forum had the same problem. You can refer to:

192.168.0.1 login failure


Your device model (HG630 V2) belongs to the ISP series. If you cannot log in to the WebUI of the device, the device may be customized for the ISP. You can contact the ISP for a solution.

I appreciate the help. The issue was fixed by doing hard reset from reset button.
I was afraid that after doing that I will lose current internet configurations and won't be able to re-configure, but it worked.
