I have a router NE 40E-X8, NE 40E-X3. I have line card of LPUF -50 (for STM-1,4 & 16)(for eg: CR53-P10-4xPOS/STM16-SFP). When we ordered , we have ordered with Multimode SFPs. Now, the new requirement is to connect with single mode circuits. Do I have to change the line card itself or I only have to change the SFPs and will it be compatible for the same ? Please advise.
Here there is a link with the possible options to purchase, note that the first is MMF (multi-mode fiber) while the other 3 are SMF (single mode fiber) the difference is the distance it can cover, it can support from 15 to 80 KM. Once you click on the links, you will be able to see the bom code to order them:
Hello Krishnan , could you send the Exact Module or SN for the Board , also the BOM Code of the SFP (Multimode) , on the other hand if both are HUAWEI (SFP & Board) So you can Use the SFP in case of Single mode or MultiMode .
Hi Fathy, Thanks for your reply. CR53-P10-8xPOS/STM1-SFP (line card) and SFP is SFP-FE-SX-MM1310 and we are planning to replace this with single mode SFP.
