Hello,

Is it possible to set or tag extended community on route import ?  I mean I need to tag with ext comm rt or soo a locally originated route via bgp network command but I am getting the error below:

When I try to set soo
Error: Route-filter <Upstream-out> uses the 'extcommunity soo' attribute, but the 'extcommunity soo' attribute cannot be set on the bgp import route attach point.

When I try to set rt
Error: Route-filter <Upstream-out> uses the 'extcommunity rt' attribute, but the 'extcommunity rt' attribute cannot be set on the bgp import route attach point.

My route filter:

xpl route-filter Upstream-out

  if ip route-destination in {192.168.0.0 24} then

apply extcommunity rt {123456:100, 123456:10100} overwrite

   finish

  else

   refuse

  endif

  end-filter

My bgp conf:

bgp 262596

 ipv4-family unicast

network 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0 route-filter   Upstream-out

Best regards,

Wairisson

Hi,
The imported route is not a BGP route, and therefore the BGP attributes cannot be modified. You can modify BGP routes only when BGP routes are received or advertised.
For example, specifies a route-filter for the routes to be advertised/received to a specified BGP peer.
[~HUAWEI] bgp 262596
[*HUAWEI-bgp] peer xx.xx.xx.xx route-filter Upstream-out export/import
