If I want to pass the Huawei HCIP exam, do I have to pass the hcia exam first?

HCIP can directly be attempted. HCIA certificate is not mandatory before obtaining the HCIP certificate. However, it is recommended that examinees learn and get the certificate following the certification path.

HCIP-Routing & Switching Certification is the second step of Huawei Routing & Switching Certification

To become HCIP R&S Certified, you need to pass three HCIP Level Exam. These HCIP R& S Exams are given below:
Exam H12-221 (HCIP-Routing&Switching-IERS)
Exam H12-222 (HCIP-Routing&Switching-IENP)
Exam H12-223 (HCIP-Routing&Switching-IEEP)
