Good day 


I believe the datacom cert will be replacing the rouiting and switching cert, What happens if i have doen the written portion of the HCIE but not the lab by time it has been replaced ?

Hi user_4204021,
If you sign up for an old HCIE exam, if you do not pass the interview, your exam scores will be invalidated for Datacom and you will need to retake the HCIE Datacom exam.
If you sign up for the new HCIE exam, if you do not pass the lab, your written exam will be voided and you will need to retake the HCIE Datacom exam.

So basically, I’ll have one chance at the lab. Otherwise I’ll have to do both the written and lab of datacom
