Hello, everyone!
This post will share with you the boards of transmission network products.
Part 3. Boards
1. Types and functions of boards(It's very important)

2. The TNG1T401 board can be a conversion between one 100GCE/OTU4 optical signal and one ODU4/ODUflex electrical signal.
3. The TNG1N401 board supports hybrid transmission of ODU0, ODU1, ODU2, ODU2e, ODU3, and ODUflex signals.
4. As a packet service board, the V2E224 board receives and transmits FE/GE/10GE services, processes packet services, and transmits packets to the cross-connect board for centralized cross-connections.
5. The TNG1A212 board is a general service processing board. Based on the application requirements, and A212 board can be set to common-mode or SDH and WDM mode.
6. The PID board is an optical/electrical integrated board. The optical module is integrated inside the board. The PID board is classified into the baseboard and the expansion board. The baseboard functions as a line board and a multiplexer/demultiplexer board. The expansion board has only the function of the line board. The following uses the TNU5NP400/TNU5NP400E as an example:

7. The EMS20 board is used to provide access to Ethernet services, manage bandwidths, and achieve Layer 2 switching of Ethernet services.
8. The optical multiplexer board multiplexes multiple optical signals of different wavelengths into one optical fiber for transmission. The optical demultiplexer board performs the reverse function of the optical multiplexer board.
9. The ITL board multiplexes and demultiplexes wavelength signals at a 50 GHz or 100 GHz channel spacing.
10. The UITL board multiplexes and demultiplexes wavelength signals at a 75 GHz or 150 GHz channel spacing.
11. When selecting the multiplexer or demultiplexer board, pay attention to whether the board supports odd wavelengths or even wavelengths and whether the supported wavelengths are standard C-band (40/80 wavelengths) or extended C-band (48/96 wavelengths), and super C-band (60/120 wavelengths).
12. As a ROADM board, the WSMD9 board is used with the optical multiplexer board, optical demultiplexer board, or OADM board to perform wavelength grooming on DWDM network nodes.
13. The TNG2OLP is an optical line protection unit that supports OTS protection, OMS protection, and intra-board 1+1 protection.
14. The OPM8 board provides eight ports, and each port supports optical power monitoring. It supports optical power monitoring for flexible grid wavelengths and super C Band. The maximum number of wavelengths supported by each port depends on the wavelength spacing.
15. When selecting cross-connect boards, pay attention to the cross-connect capacity and whether the boards support ODUk, VC-4, and packet services at the same time.
16. The universal line board supports the hybrid transmission of OTN, SDH, and packet services or the separate transmission of one of the services.
17. The SCC board interoperates with the NMS to manage boards and achieve communication between devices. For the E9600 series, the SCC board does not need to be configured in the slave subrack.
For more information about boards on WDM/OTN equipment, please read the training materials. Or click WeiKnow, select the Optical transmission & access/WDM product line, click Boards, enter the board model, and click OK to query the board details.
