I am looking at a True or False question which reads:

If the destination MAC address of a data frame received by a server does not match the interface on the server, does not match the MAC address of the server interface, the server discards the data frame.


I thought that was TRUE, can someone explains to me why its false and what the server does with that frame?

I think the answer is True.

If the destination MAC address of a data frame received by a server does not match the interface on the server, does not match the MAC address of the server interface, the server discards the data frame.
