This post is about having issues with fiber Internet on model number HG8546M. Please see the lines below for more information.


ISSUE DESCRIPTION


I have an issue with fiber internet on model number HG8546M. As I have already contacted my ISP, they said all is fine and are not willing to solve the issue.


As some minutes pass, the speed decreases to 4Mbps and there is no change in the upload speed. Is the fault coming from the ISP side? I have attached the optical information right below.

According to the screenshots provided by you, it is impossible to determine that the ONT is faulty.

The HG8546M is a carrier's device. Generally, the network speed decreases because the quality of the optical path for the bandwidth delivered by the ISP is damaged or the bandwidth delivered by the ISP is insufficient.

If the device fails to connect to the network, the device may be faulty. If the network rate is too low, you are advised to contact the ISP for detailed solutions.

i contacted them and from head office reply that may be fault in device  they saying let's change the device and again problem prisit we will give you new account closing current account .it is pppoe mode .This problem occur after upgrading my current plan 25 mbps to 50 mbps . It was fixed 2 weeks and again problem occur as their change in their plan packaged . they have launch new packaged recently .  Problem is like time slot problem i get ccontinue speed of my subrcibed till 46.47 minutes after that i dont get download speed it cap to 4 mbps and there is no change in uplaod speed.

The collected device files are sent to the ISP or Huawei engineers for device fault analysis.

The optical power of the ONT ranges from -27 dBm to -8 dBm.
