Hello, everyone!
In our network maintenance process, we often encounter problems that cannot collect performance data. Now we provide some solutions for your reference.
The NE whose data you want to collect must be correctly configured. Otherwise, the PMS cannot collect performance data. Resources monitored by the PMS require different NE configurations. You need to configure an NE based on the resource that you want to collect.
The following lists several common NE configurations:
1. Check and ensure that the system time is the same between the U2000 server and client.
If using Windows OS, change Date, and Time on Control Panel directly.
If using Solaris or Linux OS, change the system time using commands, such as the date command.
2. Verify that ports 20002-20010 are enabled during data collection.
3. Verify that the performance database disk is not full. When it does not have available space, data collection will fail. If the disk is full, dump performance data manually. For details, see Data Dump Management.
4. If you want to collect performance data from a PTN NE, you need to open the configuration file server\etc\oss_cfg\trans\core\conf\trans_ems.cfg and modify the value of the following item. It is applicable for U2000 V100R002C00 and later versions.
#| Whether to send AUTO REPORT msg in AsnPfmScheduleDataReq to save SDH perf in PMS DB.
bEnableSavePMSdbInSDHPfmSchedule = 0
5. If unable to collect the traffic indicators of the NE interface.
Because the SNMP version error causes the performance collection fault. Adding the NE again, and select the right SNMP version number.
6. If we cannot collect performance data of some indicators from NEs.
Check and ensure that the NE supports the indicators. Otherwise, the PMS can not collect data. For example, the NE has its CPU and supports CPU data collection, then PMS can collect the CPU data from it.
7.If we cannot create a performance instance for an IP link.
Check and ensure that the NE is configured with an SNMP write community name.
8. If we cannot collect traffic performance data of an NE interface.
Check and ensure that the NE is configured with a normal link.
I hope it will be helpful for you. Thank you!
