Today I'm going to share with you when the H248 interface fails due to the conflict between the UA5000's out-of-band network management IP and the signaling IP address.
Networking Situation

The UA5000 main control board is H601PVMD, which is connected to the Ethernet switch through dual uplinks. The network management adopts the out-of-band network management method. The out-of-band network ports of the two PVMD boards are connected to the network cable.
Trouble Phenomenon
After the connection is successful, the H248 interface is faulty. Unplug the dual upstream network cable and the dual out-of-band network management cable, plug in the upstream network cable of the left PVMD board, the H248 interface returns to normal, and then plug in the remaining three network cables. The out-of-band network management and interfaces are normal. After restarting the device, the H248 interface fails again. Unplug the network cable and plug it in again to restore normal.
Processing Step
1- Check the dual-uplink configuration, the uplink tps is the open mode, and the uplink cable is also replaced;
2- The main and standby PVMD boards are switched, and the fault still exists after replacing the PVMD board;
3- After analyzing the on-site feedback database, the site adopts dual uplink dual out-of-band network management networking mode. The IP address of the out-of-band network management and the H248 signaling IP address are on the same network segment, causing H248 messages to be sent to the out-of-band network The MG interface will fail to negotiate. In-band and out-of-band are on the same network segment, and the network cable is plugged into the service and the out-of-band port is used. It is recommended to directly change the network management mode to in-band network management and delete the out-of-band IP.

4- Delete the out-of-band network management IP address, modify the network management mode to in-band network management, configure the IP address, and the H248 interface returns to normal.
Possible Reason
1. There is a problem with the uplink;
2. Hardware failure of the main control board;
3. Data configuration and parameter setting.
Suggestion and Conclusion
The UA5000 dual-uplink dual out-of-band network management mode will have the problem of unsuccessful MG interface negotiation.
It is necessary to configure the IP address and signaling IP address of the out-of-band network management system in different network segments or adopt the in-band network management mode.
