Hi there, Community friends!

 This time, I will share with you how to graphically visualize the optical power of a next generation SDH link. Hope you like!

We select the optical fiber that we want to analyze in the topological. We right click and choose the Query Releant Optical Power option as can be seen in figure 1 and then as we see in figure 2 we go to the Graph tab.

In figure 3 you can see the results are very intuitive and in the received signal the segment delimits the area in which the expected received optical power should fall.

You can use the NMS to query the receive optical power of a port in many ways. If there is no bearer service, you can also use a meter to test the optical power.
