I am wondering does optical power have any influence on throughput in a GPON network. For example:
Take the HG8010H ONT. It has a receive sensitivity of -27dBm. Will it pass traffic at 1Gb/s down to -27dBm or will there be a reduction in throughput at lower optical powers? If there is a reduction what is the recommended minimum receive optical power to ensure 1Gb/s? Thanks.
hi, if the optical power only -27dBm, it is minimum recommended of the ONT, but also cannot more than -8dBm, traffic pass 1GB/s in normal situation it is OK, but suggest increase litter bit would be better
