Hello,
everyone!
Today, I will continue to explain a new topic – GPON OLT basic operations. Now, in this article, I will finish CLI features and start to explain user levels. Let’s get started.
A user profile is not the same as a user account. The user profile consists of a set of parameters: user name validity period, password validity period, etc. User accounts can be linked to user profiles. In this way, we can control users, e.g. login time.
The system supports 3 standard profiles. One user can have a maximum of 12 user profiles. Only administrators and super users modify profiles and link them to user accounts. Only top-level users can change the rights of lower-level users.
We can configure the following user profile parameters: profile name, login start time, login end time, the validity period of the user name and password.
The following command is used to add a user profile. We can see all the parameters I talked about.

Now we can move on to user accounts. First, a command to create a new user.

The username must be unique, 6 to 15 characters long. The next step is to enter the password, which, like the user name, should be 6 to 15 characters long. Then the user level is selected. We also need to enter the number of re-logins times per user. Finally, additional information for the user can be added, e.g. contact, address, etc.
The next command is the command to display all users on the system. Otherwise, details about each user can be displayed.

As we can see, there are several columns: user name, permission, status, reusable, template name, additional information inbout. Permission refers to 3 levels: user, operator and admin and super user. Status indicates whether the user is online or offline. The number of concurrent logins represents the maximum number of users that can be on the device at one time. Additional information is additional useful information such as contact or address of the user, etc.
This is the end of this article. I will explain this topic in the next article >> GPON OLT Basic Operations (5).
Thank you!
