Hello!

I plan to build a FTTH network by GPON technology.
Estimated number of subscribers - 100 in the first phase, 500 in the future. The distance to the subscriber does not exceed 10 km. Later it might be another group of subscribers, but at a distance of about 20 km from the main terminal.
Provided service - Internet, in the long run ADSL2 + / VDSL2.

As a subscriber terminals I plan to use EchoLife HG861 or HG8245 EchoLife.
As OLT I plan to use SmartAX MA5603T.

Incoming line - 10/100/1000BASE-T or 10/100/1000BASE-T/SFP.

Please tell me the minimum configuration chassis MA5603T, required licenses and their costs.

regarding price and please contact Huawei local office/authorized partner in your country.


Regarding OLT, think about MA5608T, this is new chassis and the main control cards (MCUD and MCUD1) are much more cheaper than SCUN or SCUH.

So basically you need to have chassis with two power boards, two control cards - depends on chassis and one GPON card. Based on GPON technologies, now the span between users can be max 20km (possible to extend to 40km in future).... so it is not a problem - but be careful with planning. Sometimes is better to migrate users to different port - to have one port for shorter distance and one for longer distance.


Regarding ONT - forget HG861, please go for HG8010 or HG8240.
