Getting Alarm from Non-Huawei-Certified Switch Optical Modules

Hello everyone! You may get the error "Ithas been observed that a transceiver has been installed that is not certified by Huawei Ethernet Switch"According to the Manu. SerialNumber of the optical module on the alarm port, the alarm module is classifiedinto two types:

1. Delivery by other Huawei product lines
2. Delivery before July 1, 2013

In this case, you can disable the alarm function for non-Huawei-certified switch optical modules.
To disabled the alarm functionfor non-Huawei-certified switch optical modules, please refer to steps belowfor Configuring the Alarm Function for Non-Huawei-Certified Switch OpticalModules:

• Run:
  The system view is displayed.
  

• Run:
  The alarm function for non-Huawei-certified switch optical modules is disabled.
  By default, the alarm function for non-Huawei-certified switch optical modules is enabled.
  To enable the alarm function for non-Huawei-certified switch optical modules, run the undo transceiver phony-alarm-disable command.
  

During certification of optical modules for Huawei switches, Huawei completes comprehensive functionality verification to ensure quality of optical modules. The verified items include optical module plug/unplug, transmit optical power, receive optical power, signal transmission quality, data reading, error tolerance, compatibility, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and environmental parameters.


Non-Huawei-certified switch optical modules may cause the several problem.
