Dear, Transmission EXPERTS

HI,

for one link OSN1500 with EGS4 we use 2 GE service but clint side on router cant get full 1GE and limited to 100M

this link configwith 8 VC4 for Each port on STM-16 line then connect to TELECOME SDH network and in another city we got STM-16 link and then drop on OSN1500 and GE same port.

would you please inform me how we can check why bandwide cant be more than 100M ?

Dear friend!

1. Check whether the service configuration is correct, for example, whether the timeslots bound to the two ends are correct. If an exception occurs, reconfigure the service.

2. Perform a ping test to check whether there is packet matching. If yes, check the wiring and other faults.

3. Check whether the interface parameters of the customer device are correctly set.

4. The loopback test or Ethernet frame test can be used to test the Ethernet performance.

5. Use a professional Ethernet test instrument to test the network speed.

6. In addition, query the slot where the board is installed.

For example, the EGS4 board installed on the OptiX OSN 2500. When the EGS4 board is housed in any of slots 5–6 of the subrack, the bandwidth is 622 Mbit/s. When the board is housed in any of slots 7–8 and 11–12 in the subrack, the bandwidth is 2.5 Gbit/s. When the board is housed in slot 13 of the subrack, the bandwidth is 1.25 Gbit/s.

Thanks!

Dear friend!
The maximum bandwidth of an EGS4 port is 1 Gbit/s, and a maximum of six VC-4s can be bound to the EGS4 port. If you bind more VC-4s, resources will be wasted.

hi ,
1- check the port working mode . it should be 1000M Full Duplex.
2- in some cases the client device needs Electrical SFP to reach 1G .

OK. Thank you very much for your feedback on the troubleshooting process!
You can use the comparison method to locate the fault by changing the internal and external ports or replacing the board.

Problem solved by changing port we saw problem moved so link is ok then we changed SFP and find one of SFP was faulty and after changing that totally problem solved.
Thanks for all experts for their help and comments.
