Hi Abdul500,
To prevent VRRP status inconsistency, Huawei develops the VRRP Group Management Protocol (VGMP) based on VRRP. A VRRP management group established based on VGMP manages the status of each VRRP backup group in a unified manner. This ensures that interfaces on a router are in the active or standby state at the same time, ensuring that the VRRP status of the routers is consistent.
Huawei Redundancy Protocol (HRP) is carried over VGMP packets to back up key configuration commands and session table status information between the master and backup devices.
VGMP and HRP are Huawei proprietary protocols that run on firewalls.

Hi Abdul500,
Huawei does not have an independent gateway redundancy protocol and uses the public protocol VRRP.

Yes, Huawei only uses VRRP.

Dear but i think HRP and VGMP can also be used as a gateway redundancy protocol.

As said before, VRRP is the only protocol you have to implement gateway redundancy. He is an open protocol. Huawei does not have proprietary solutions like HSRP and GLPB (Cisco protocols).

I hope this answers your question.
