High-speed protection switch and load balancing can be realized by G.8032v2 Ethernet Ring Protection. And, the maintenance can be done with minimum service influence by administrative operation such as manual/forced switching.

Ø Load balancing works under the normal operation, and the higher priority traffic can be secured by QoS management.

Ø Fast Switchover (<50ms) with 3.3ms period, hardware based ETH-CC

Ø Administrative operation

· Forced switching

· Manual switching

· Revertive / Non-revertive

Ø The combination of logical ring set-up and load balancing achieves double capacity transmission.
