FusionInsight LibrA is an enterprise-level relational database for large-scale parallel processing. FusionInsight LibrA adopts the massive parallel processing (MPP) architecture, supports both row-based and column-based storage, and provides processing capabilities of PB-level (two to the fiftieth power) data.
FusionInsight LibrA has many core technology advantages over conventional databases. It can solve issues concerning data processing performance for users in many industries, provide a general cost-effective computing platform for large-scale data management, and support various data warehouse systems, business intelligence (BI) systems, and decision-making support systems, to support decision analysis of upper-layer applications in a unified manner.
The FusionInsight solution provides a unified enterprise-class platform for big data storage, query, and analysis. It allows enterprises to quickly construct a system for processing massive data. In addition, enterprises can spot and capture new business opportunities by analyzing and mining massive data in a real-time or non-real-time manner.
FusionInsight LibrA is a sub-product of the FusionInsight solution. Figure 1 shows the location of FusionInsight LibrA in the FusionInsight solution.
The FusionInsight solution consists of four sub-products, FusionInsight HD, FusionInsight LibrA, FusionInsight Miner, FusionInsight Farmer, and an O&M system, FusionInsight Manager.
- FusionInsight HD is an enterprise-level big data processing environment. It is a distributed data processing system that externally provides the storage, analysis and query, and real-time stream data processing and analysis capabilities of a large amount of data.
- FusionInsight LibrA is an enterprise-level relational database used for massively parallel processing. FusionInsight LibrA adopts the massive parallel processing (MPP) architecture, supports both row storage model and column storage model, and provides processing capabilities of PB-level (Petabyte-level) data.
- FusionInsight Miner is an enterprise-level data analysis platform. Based on Huawei FusionInsight HD distributed storage and parallel computing technologies, it provides the function for digging values from massive data.
- FusionInsight Farmer is an enterprise-level big data application container. It provides a unified development, running, and management platform for enterprise services.
- FusionInsight Manager is an enterprise-level big data O&M platform. FusionInsight Manager provides highly reliable, secure, fault-tolerant, and easy-to-use cluster management capabilities. It supports installation and deployment, monitoring, alarm management, user management, rights management, audit, service management, health check, fault location, upgrades, and patching of large-scale clusters.
