Hello everyone!

I have handled an issue with the FusionCompute web that responds too slowly. I would like to share its solution with you hoping it can be useful. Please check it out below.

FusionCompute web responds too slowly.

1.  Ran the below command to check the active and standby VRM status. The HA service and VRM service run normally:

service had query

service had query

2. Checked the VRM load. We found that the VRM service occupied too many CPU resources and was abnormal. We suspected that the VRM service was processing many tasks.

vrm cpu resource

3. Checked the task detail from the database. There were hundreds of tasks in the VRM task line.

vrm task

4. Checked the VRM error logs. The VRM reported "GC overhead limit exceeded", which means the process is without enough memory to handle the task.

GC overhead limit exceeded

5. Checked the memory size of the two VRM nodes. The memory size of the VRM nodes was 32 GB, which should be sufficient. We suspected that they did not execute the script "modify" when expanding the memory.

free -h

The process is without enough memory to handle the task.

1. Log in to VRM01 and VRM02, then run the below commands:

cd /opt/galax/root/vrm/tomcat/script

sh XL

2. sh XL

2. Reboot the VRM note. Reboot the standby node first, ensure the standby node works normally and then reboot the active node.

This is my solution, how about yours? Go ahead and share it with us!
