Hello, friend!
If you want to configure the RDM functionality for the VM, you can add the RDM Datastore to the host, and when successful, you create the virtual machine on that host, and when you create the Vm, you select the RDM Datastore.
Note:
When creating a virtual machine using the RDM data store, note the selection of the following parameters:
Bus type:
Hygon and Phytium support only VIRTIO.
Disks created on RDM data stores can be connected to only the VIRTIO bus or SCSI bus.
If the disk bus type is set to SCSI, you need to set SCSI Command.
Enable passthrough: SCSI commands issued by VMs are transparently transmitted to physical SCSI devices.
Disable passthrough: Most SCSI commands are simulated by the virtualization layer. However, the virtualization layer does not support SCSI commands that require physical hardware operations, such as reservation.
When a data store in virtualization mode is used, set SCSI Command to Disable passthrough.
When a data store in non-virtualization or RDM mode is used, set SCSI Command to Enable passthrough or Disable passthrough.
And about the create a VM, see Creating a VM.
Hope this helps!
