Hello friends of the forum, today I share about the UPS2000 shared lead-acid batteries.

【Principles and calculation methods】

  1. If a UPS2000-G-15 kVA/20 kVA parallel system shares a battery string, set the same battery string capacity and charge current for each UPS.

2.Battery capacity (Ah) = ( Capacity of a single battery string )x (Number of parallel battery strings)/(Number of parallel UPSs sharing a battery string).

Maximum charge current (Ah) = 0.1 x Capacity of a single battery string x Number of parallel battery strings/Number of parallel UPSs sharing a battery string.If the calculated maximum charge current is greater than 4 A, set it 4 A.

3.If a single 15 kVA/20 kVAUPS connects to two battery packs, the maximum charge current must be less than or equal to 2.0 A

【Example 1】

Two UPSs sharing a 65 Ah battery string as an example:

Capacity of a single battery string=65Ah;

Number of parallel battery strings=1;

Number of parallel UPSs sharing a battery string=2;

the calculated battery capacity is 65 x 1/2 Ah= 32.5 Ah, You can set the battery capacity of each UPS to 32 Ah;

the calculated maximum current is 0.1 x 65 x 1/2 A= 3.25 A, You can set the battery charging current for each UPS  to 3.0 A.

【Example 2】

If the 15 kVA/20 kVA UPS parallel system shares battery packs, refer to the cable connection methods shown in the following figure.

11

The connection shown below is explained as follows:battery packs 1 and 2 are in series, battery packs 3 and 4 are in series, battery packs 5 and 6 are in series, and battery packs 7 and 8  are in series. battery packs 1, 3, 5, and 7 are in parallel and battery packs 2, 4, 6, and 8  are in parallel.

Please note:When battery packs are connected in series or parallel, only battery packs of the same model and specifications can be installed or replaced. Do not use battery packs of different models or specifications together.

Other parameters: the capacity of each battery pack is 65Ah.

Capacity of a single battery string=65Ah;

Number of parallel battery strings=4;

Number of parallel UPSs sharing a battery string=2;

the calculated battery capacity is 65 x 4/2 Ah= 130 Ah, You can set the battery capacity of each UPS to 130 Ah;

the calculated maximum current is 0.1 x 65 x 4/2 A= 13 A>4A, You can set the battery charging current for each UPS  to 4.0 A.

That's all I have to share today, thank you for reading!
