Hello!

My router's model no. is HG8245Q2, so I have tried everything possible I could to connect to the FTP server after enabling from the router settings under USB application.

Also resetted the router to defualt configuration, tried chagning the name, pass and port as the default port is 21.

But t cannot connect to it when I type ftp://192.168.100.1 as this is my default accessing point, tried to access this on different devices on multiple browsers, even used FileZilla to connect to it.

what I think is that my router is not broadcasting the FTP server connection.

Also tried diagnoses option in the router, restarted the router multiple times.. still nothing..

My friend has the same router and when he type the address he gets instantly prompted to enter user & pass but I don't :(

I dont know what else to do, given my best to do eveything.

Need help, anything will be much appreciated.

Hello, I think there are two possible reasons,

Some functions of the customized device provided by your carrier have been removed. The purpose of this function is to reduce the network maintenance cost of the carrier. The solution is to confirm with the carrier and apply for enabling this function.

The second possibility is that your device is damaged. The solution is to compare the device with another device of the same model and vendor, and then consider whether to buy a new device.

Good luck, friend.

Configuration Example

Configure the USB related parameters to share the contents on the USB storage device.

  1. Insert the USB storage device to the ONT that provides a USB port. If No USB Device is displayed in USB Device, no USB storage device is identified. Remove and re-insert the USB storage device.
  2. Select Enable FTP Server, and specify User Name and Password.

  3. Choose Security > ONT Access Control Configuration, and select Enable the LAN-Side PC to Access the ONT Through FTP and Enable the WAN-Side PC to Access the ONT Through FTP. Click Apply.
  4. Enter ftp://192.168.100.1 in the address bar to visit the USB storage device. 192.168.100.1 is the IP address used for ONT management.
