- Default number of access APs when no license is loaded
- Number of access APs authorized by a license
An AC6005, or AC6605 allows access of no AP by default when no license is loaded. After a license for 128 APs is loaded, the number of APs that can access an AC is 128. To expand the network capacity, apply for another license supporting 128 APs. The background system will automatically support the total number of resources items in the two licenses. After the new license is loaded on the AC, the number of APs that can access the AC is 256 (128 + 128 = 256).
An ACU2 allows access of 128 APs by default when no license is loaded. After a license for 256 APs is loaded, the number of APs that can access an AC is 384 (128 + 256 = 384). To expand the network capacity, apply for another license supporting 128 APs. The background system will automatically support the total number of resources items in the two licenses. After the new license is loaded on the ACU2, the number of APs that can access the ACU is 512 (384 + 128 = 512).
