2- DWDM over CWDM
With DWDM over CWDM technology, DWDM wavelengths can be transmitted using the 1531nm to 1551nm window of CWDM to expand CWDM system capabilities.
The DWDM wavelength extension allocation diagram in the CWDM system is shown in the following figure. Through this scheme, in a CWDM system, the maximum transmission of 26 DWDM wavelengths with 100GHz interval can be realized.

For the application of DWDM wavelength transmission in the CWDM 1531nm and 1551nm windows, the DWDM wavelength needs to pass through the MUX/DEMUX of the DWDM system and the CWDM system, so an optical amplifier unit needs to be configured.
