Frame Slip Alarms and Noises Occur When the eSpace U1910 Connects to a Device Through the T1 Trunk

Symptom

When the eSpace U1910 connects to a device through the T1 trunk, a lot of frame slip alarms and noises occur.

Possible Cause

The possible causes are as follows:

  • E1 jumper caps are not removed on the CVP board, affecting the E1 working mode.
  • The MRS parameter TdmCodec is not set to U_LAW.
  • The clock source is not configured.

Solution

  1. Check the E1 jumper caps on the CVP board and remove all jumper caps. For details about the jumper locations, see the product installation manual.
  2. Run the show mrsparas command to check whether TdmCodec is set to U_LAW. If no, run the config modify mrsparas tdmcodec ulaw command to set this parameter to U_LAW. By default, this parameter is set to A_LAW, but it should be set to U_LAW in T1 mode.
  3. Run the show system clocksource information command to check the clock source configuration. If the configuration is incorrect, run the config system clocksource command to configure the clock source.
  4. If the fault persists, contact the service provider.
