[Issue]

Forgot all passwords and need to reset the console password for NetEngine20E (V800R009C10SPC200)

[Analysis ]

-          We checked the documentation and knowledge base for detailed steps but found nothing .

[Root cause ]

After confirmation we found that :

Our products do not support the fuction of clear console interface passwords  on V8R9C10 version , the version version needs to be upgraded.

V8R10C10 support this function so you can upgrade the version by the management interface .

[Solution]

Note :  Please confirm the device name. If it is NE20E-S2, operate it directly. If it is NE20E-S4/S8/S16, be sure to pull out one main control board first.

Steps for 1 MPU :

step1 : upgrade  v8r10 in bootmenu  

choose --1. Install OS through ethernet interface.

step 2 : reboot and go for bootmenue

step 3  : choose the  menu    in  bootrom  to clear  the password (this  version   add  a  new menu to clear  password)

step 4 :  login device , run command  to  set new   console password and save the  configuration  

Steps for 2 MPU :

step 1 : remove  standby MPU 

step2 : upgrade  v8r10 in bootmenu   

choose --1. Install OS through ethernet interface.

step3 : reboot  and go for bootmenue

step4 :  clear the  password  in  bootmenu 

step 5 :  login device , run command  to  set new   console password and save the  configuration
