Hi mdeevi,

Alright, first step is download the software version on below link and save it in desktop or FTP directory

Next, setup your IP address of the device Management interface as per below link
How to upload file into Flash drive using FTP through BootROM

Next, setup your FTP server with IP address as in below picture. Username and password can use anything you want but must be matching with what you entered in the device.

Dear ,

Pleas find the download linkd for your s/w :
https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/switches/s5700-pid-6691579/software/22182122?idAbsPath=fixnode01|7919710|21782164|21782167|22318564|6691579

Here is the upgrade guide :
https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/doc/EDOC1000113883

Here is how to upload and upgrade your s/w using the bootrom menu :
https://support.huawei.com/view/contentview!getFileStream.action?mid=SUPE_DOC&viewNid=EDOC1000113883&nid=EDOC1000113883&partNo=j001&type=doc#_Toc532974619

Step 1     Enter the BootROM menu.

When the switch is starting, the following information is displayed:

Press Ctrl+B or Ctrl+E to enter BootROM menu : 2

Press Ctrl+B before the countdown timer expires, and then enter the password. The default password is Admin@huawei.com. Then the BootROM menu is displayed. The following information is displayed:

       BootROM  Menu

    1. Boot with default mode
    2. Enter serial submenu
    3. Enter startup submenu
    4. Enter ethernet submenu

(Press Ctrl+E to enter diag menu)

Enter your choice(1-8):

Step 2     Select 2. Enter serial submenu. The following information is displayed:

       SERIAL  SUBMENU
    1. Update BootROM system
    2. Download file to Flash through serial interface
    3. Modify serial interface parameter
    4. Return to main menu
Enter your choice(1-4):

Step 3     Modify the parameters of the serial interface.

Changing the transmission rate of the serial interface causes interruption of the communication between the PC and switch. To restore the communication between the PC and the switch, you must set the transmission rate of the serial interface on the PC to be the same as that of the serial interface on the switch.

The XMODEM protocol transmits data at 128 bit/s. If the size of the system software package is not a multiple of 128 bits, the package size increases. After a stack reboots, configurations cannot be restored because the package size changes. It is recommended that you download the system software package through SFTP, FTP or TFTP.

Select 3. Modify serial interface boot parameter. The following information is displayed:

1: 9600(default)
2: 19200
3: 38400
4: 57600
5: 115200

Select an appropriate baud rate:
Enter your choice(1-5):

Select the transmission rate for the serial interface as required. The transmission rate is expressed in bit/s. The default transmission rate of the serial interface on the switch is 9600 bit/s. A larger value you enter represents a higher transmission rate of the serial interface. It is recommended that you enter 5: 115200. If you change the transmission rate of the serial interface on the switch, set the transmission rate of the serial interface on the PC to be the same as that of the serial interface on the switch. In this manner, you can restore the communication between the PC and the switch.

For example, after you select 5: 115200, the following information is displayed:

Baud rate is 115200 bps. Please change the terminal's speed to 115200 bps

Perform the following settings on the HyperTerminal of the PC to restore the communication between the PC and the switch:

l   On the HyperTerminal, choose Call > Disconnect. The connection is closed

l   Choose File > Properties. The Properties dialog box is displayed.

l   On the Connect To tab page, click Configure. The COM Properties dialog box is displayed.

l   Select 115200bit/s from the Bits per second drop-down list box.

l   In the COM Properties and Properties dialog boxes, click OK.

l   On the HyperTerminal, choose Call > Call. The connection is reestablished.

Step 4     Upgrade the system software.

Select 2. Download file to Flash through serial interface in the serial interface submenu, and the following information is displayed:

Enter your choice(1-4): 2

Please Select File .
XMODEM downloading ...CC

Choose Transfer > Send File. The Send File dialog box is displayed.

Click Browse to select the upgrade file of the system software. Then select Xmodem from the Protocol drop-down list box. Click Send to start sending the file.

After transferring the upgrade file, the system prompts you whether to change the file name. If no, save it with the default file name. The default file name is not the uploaded file name. The system software name in the flash memory or the default file name hw-switch.cc is used. Generally, it is recommended that the file name be changed.

Only the files with the file name extension .cc can be used as the system software on the S5700-X-LI.

If you need to name the upgrade file S5700-X-LI-V200R010C00.cc, the following information is displayed:

Please select file.
XMODEM downloading ...CC   Downloading file to SDRAM succeeded.
Please type a new file name for saving it.

Press return key to save it named "S5700-X-LI-V200R010C00.cc".

If the file S5700-X-LI-V200R010C00.cc has already been saved in the flash memory, the system prompts you whether to overwrite the existing file with the new one. The following information is displayed:

flash:/S5700-X-LI-V200R010C00.cc already exist,
