Hello everyone,

My firewall always receives the following alarms:

AttackType=ICMP unreachable attack, slot=“”, cpu=0, receive interface= GE1/0/5, proto= ICMP, ip= 172.16.4.228->113.65.32.68; 172.16.4.228->221.217.59.174; 172.16.100.200->8.8.8.8; 172.16.100.200->114.114.114.114; 172.16.50.77->202.96.134.133; 172.16.50.77->114.114.114.114; 172.16.102.192->114.114.114.114; 172.16.50.10->202.96.134.133; 172.16.50.10->114.114.114.114; 172.16.4.121->114.114.114.114; 172.16.100.146->114.114.114.114; 172.16.101.45->114.114.114.114", begin time= 2020/01/04 08:56:29, end time= 2020/01/04 08:56:50, total packets= "46", max speed= "0", Action= discard

Can someone please explain to me what it means? Thank you!

Hi WDNJSQ,
The firewall intercepts ICMP unreachable attacks and the discard action does not affect the firewall performance. If you do not want to view the log of the corresponding function module, disable the log of the function module.
