[Symptom Description]
When the Filezilla FTP Server is used to set up an FTP server, the UNC share path of the NAS is selected as the homedir when the FTP shared directory is configured. However, the FTP client fails to upload or connect to the FTP client, and error 550 is displayed.

[Cause Description]
After the request from the FTP client reaches the FTP server, the FTP server needs to initiate a connection to the UNC path. By default, the Filezilla FTP Server uses the local account (for example, WIN-1440AD$) or anonymous account (that is, the user name is empty) of the client instead of the local account of the storage device. As a result, the connection to the storage device fails, and the FTP client reports an error. This problem cannot be resolved even if the CIFS web disk is mounted in advance or the Credential Manager is used.
[Solution]
Step 1: Create an administrator on Windows 2008 and ensure that the user name and password are the same as those for accessing the NAS.
Step 2: Open the Control Panel, choose Administrative Tools, Service Manager, and modify the login options of the Filezilla FTP server service.
Note: If the account is not in the administrator group, the service fails to be started.
[Post-Recovery Check]
Check the connection of the FTP client again.
