Files cannot be dragged onto the eSpace IM chat window on Windows 7

This post is about the issue that files cannot be dragged onto the eSpace IM chat window on Windows 7. Please see below for more details.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

On the Windows 7 operating system, files cannot be dragged onto the eSpace IM chat window.

ISSUE ANALYSIS

The user account control (UAC) of the operating system restricts the automatic startup of eSpace Desktop.

SOLUTION

1. Log in to the computer as the admin user.

2. Choose Control Panel > System and Security > Operation Center > Change User Account Control settings and move the slider to Never notify to disable the UAC.  

3. Restart the computer.
