Fiber doctor and Optical doctor option not showing after inatll NetStar O&M in NCE.

This post will tell you a case about the fiber doctor option and Optical doctor not showing after install NetStar O&M in NCE.

Problem Description

After installing NetStar O&M in NCE, the fiber doctor option and Optical doctor still not showing.

Handling procedure

1. Check whether the NetStar component is installed.

a) Log in to the management plane (https://IP:31945) and check the NetStar version.

b) Log in to the management plane (https://IP:31945) and check whether the process is running properly.

2. Check whether the license is correct.

c) Check whether the Omnisight-T license has been imported to NCE.

d) Check whether the OmniSight license contains the OD and FD control items.

Root cause

There is no Omnisight-T license.

Solution

Apply Omnisight-T license (including  OD and FD control items) according to this link.
