Hi,

I did an inspection check using SmartKit tool of a Dorado 5000 storage enclosure.

One of the inspection items did not pass because the FC MOR function of the fiber channel ports is enabled. Does anyone know were this function is used for?

Thanks.

Hi

I found some material on MOR, and I hope it helps you.

MOR means Multiple Outstanding Requests, Which is enabled by default.

It is used to improve the performance of internal PCIe concurrent access. However, If Fibre Channel heterogeneous non-Huawei storage is used, you are advised to disable it.

You can disable the FC MOR function and then execute your inspection items.

The command is that change port fc fc_port_id=port_ID  mor_enable=no

Hi, Dear

Can you give me a screenshot of your question?

What I know about it is that MOR (Middle of Row).

It is a connection mode of MOR switch is similar to EOR mode. Access switches are deployed in one or two cabinets of a cabinet group through centralized mode, only the location of network cabinet is in the middle of the cabinet group. In this case, the connection between server cabinet and network cabinet will be simplified. At the same time, the switch has been centralized management, which is a compromise between TOR and EOR.

Hi Stephen,

This is the check item that fails to pass.

Checking 8 Gbit/s FC Heterogeneous HDS.

8GB FC ports are used for heterogeneous storage, disable the MOR function of Fibre Channel ports. If the MOR function cannot be disabled in the current version, contact technical support engineers.
The MOR function can be disabled in the following versions:
V3/18000 V3 series: V300R006C20 and later versions
Dorado V3 series: V300R001C21SPC100 and later versions
