Hello
I wanted to change my FIT AP into FAT AP. How can I configure FTP using the console and where is the system file / .bin file location

Hi,
The version files are not stored on the AP, and when the AP is switched or upgraded, the version files are stored on AC or FTP server.

By the way how do I configure ftp and enable it on the fat ap

Hi ,

simply u can log in to AP with the console, run the below commands.
<Huawei>sys-view
[Huawei]#ap-mode switch fat

U can run below cmd to upgrade the AP:

[Huawei]upgrade version ftp AirEngineX760-V200R019C10SPC300.cc 192.168.101.51 admin admin

192.168.101.15 is FTP Server IP
AirEngineX760-V200R019C10SPC300.cc is the firmware keep in ftp folder.

Feature Request
Is that possible in order to switch between FAT to FIT or vice versa, just type command
So no need to change image

In Cisco Mobility Express, just type
#ap-type capwap
