  Rewarded HiCoins: 3 (problem resolved)

Hello community,

I am doing some tests with the AP 5760-10, currently I have it working in fat mode with the version: Fat & CloudAirEngine5760-10_V200R019C00SPC803.bin

I am having problems with high CPU consumption, this occurs when I enter the graphical interface. When I enter the CPU consumption rises to 92% and the website stops responding.

I already did a reset to the configuration and also a version upgrade but the same thing continues.

What do you think the solution might be?

Thanks.

Hi lmena,

The common causes of high CPU usage on the AC are as follows:

  • Hardware fault

  • Network attack or network loop

  • Improper service configuration

  • Too many network management platforms (NMSs) connected

The procedure for locating high CPU usage is as follows:

  • Check the current CPU usage.

  • Check the historical CPU usage.

  • Check the tasks that cause high CPU usage and the causes based on the logs.

For the details, please refer to https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100025386&id=EN-US_TOPIC_0216868363&lang=en

I hope it helps!

Hi Imena,

A high CPU% could also be caused by high ambient temperature (it then throttles back for it's own safety). How many AP 5760-10 do you have? and how are these installed? Are these all exhibiting high CPU% when entering GUI?

How is the AP powered? DC adapter or PoE ?

Also, make sure nothing is on the AP (obstructing its antenna)

Why not try (for test) to put a ventilator/fan to cool it down for a moment - and then try again whether GUI will cause high CPU%.

Hi ahXing, thanks for your repply

- Actually the AP is on the desk in a LAB (only one) the problem only occurs when I am inside the GUI. I can configure it by command line without problems.

- is powered by DC (12V-2A). the temperature is 11ªC, dosent have obstructions.

Thanks for your help

Hi Imena,

Okay! That rules out any physical/temperature related reasons, 11 degrees is even cool :) .Then it is indeed a webgui code issue. Only easy thing I could think of is 'another browser' - but chances are that cpu% will go skyhigh regardless of browser (which is only the webclient), while the code triggering for high cpu% is on the AP side (as web server)...

Good luck with further troubleshooting...

I also had same issues with a few of my AP's running FAT mode and same Model. only 1 client connected and it is showing 95% CPU Usage.

Which taks occupy the most CPU resource?
