This post highlights a failure to register a TE40. Please see below for details.
Problem Description
Failed to register TE40
Analysis Progress
Get the SMC and TE40 IP address
Get the H.323 and SIP information of TE40
On SMC

On TE40

Checked whether the port of the TE40 side had been opened but can't be established.

Checked the SMC license
Checked the current alarm of TE40 on SMC to verify the issue. Below instruction is using TE20 as an example.
Devices > Participants > “Endpoint” > Alarms > Current alarms
Alarm that we get : Sip Registration Failure

Check the SC H.323 and SIP information
Devices > Switch Centers > EmbededSC

Use the command below to check the port in the TE40 environment
netstat-ano|findstr 5060
netstat -ano|findstr 5061
Get the SC log & signaling diagnostic.
Start Diagnosis
Devices > SC > Embeded SC > Signaling Diagnosis > Start Diagnosis

Register the TE40 again on SMC to get the error
Get the Operation logs
EmbededSC > Logs > Operation logs > Export

Get the Device logs
EmbededSC > Logs > Device logs > Export

Get the Signaling Diagnosis
Stop Signaling Diagnosis > Export

In the diagnostic, we can't find any information related to port 5061 (For TLS). Check the configured port on TE40 and found it using 5161. Changed it back to 5061.

From TE40 environment telnet to check the SMC environment whether opened the 5060 and 5061 port.
Successfully telnet
Command :
telnet "GK address" 5060
telnet "GK address" 5061
From SMC environment using putty to Telnet to check the TE40 environment whether opened the 5060 and 5061 port.
Successfully telnet
Host Name (or IP address) ="TE40 IP address"
Port =5060 & 5061
Connection type =Telnet

Get the information below again

At TE40 Side:
Maintenance > Diagnostics > Signaling Diagnostics > Start
At SMC Side:
Details > SIP > Supprot TLS = “Yes”Note:
If there is Support TLS = “No”, must change to “Yes”(If the endpoint is using TLS to register). To change the configuration, please refer the steps below. If the Support TLS = “Yes” by default, please proceed to Step (d)

Edit > SIP > Support TLS =“Tick” > Yes
Note: After edit must reboot

Devices > Switch Centers > Embeded SC > Signaling Diagnosis > Start Diagnosis > “Register the TE40 again on SMC to get the error" > Stop Diagnosis > Export

At TE40 Side:
Maintenance > Diagnostics > Signaling Diagnostics > Stop > Download
After the analysis, found an unknown IP address keep on sending the TCP.

Found the unknow IP address is TE40 Hotspot IP address and try to disable it.
System Settings > Network > Wi-Fi Settings > Wi-Fi Client = “Disable”

Root Cause
The TE40 Hotspot is opening, and the TE40 automatically using the hotspot IP address to register and it failed.
Solution Description
