This post features the issue of a failure to log in to the IVS C/S Client, with the Client freezing at the logo download stage. Please see more details as you read below.
Diagnostic
When a user opens the IVS C/S client and enters the user name and password to log in, the client stops responding and freezes at the logo download stage. The system does not display any error message.
Possible causes
The user does not run the IVS C/S Client as the administrator user.
The user does not have the read, write and modify permissions on the files in the installation directory of the IVS C/S Client.
Solutions
If you re-install the IVS C/S client to a directory on drive C (not the Program File directory) or D, you can properly log in to the IVS C/S client. Alternatively, perform the following steps to set user rights:
1. Right-click the icon of the IVS C/S Client and choose Properties from the shortcut menu.
2. Click the Compatibility tab, click Run this program as an administrator, as shown in Figure 1.

3. Click the Security tab and click Edit, as shown in Figure 2.

4. Add the user rights, as shown in Figure 3.

After the user rights have been added, you can log in to the IVS C/S client successfully.
