Hello, guys!

Have a good day!

This post describes how to deal with the problem that failed to create a network on the OMU portal.

Symptom

Node A, functioning as the slave domain node or lower-level domain node, registers with the master domain node or the master node of the upper-level domain, as shown in Figure 1.

Figure 1 Networking

Networking

If you perform one of the following operations and re-register the slave domain node or node A of the lower-level domain with the master node of the original domain, node A changes to the Abnormal state, as shown in Figure 2, or node A is offline on the master domain node, as shown in Figure 3.

  • When the master domain node is offline, switch slave domain node A to the single-node system but node A is not deleted from the master domain node.

  • When the master node of the upper-level domain is offline, clear the upper-level NE IP address of master node A of the lower-level domain but master node A of the lower-level domain that has been switched is not deleted from the master node of the upper-level domain.

  • You have deleted the offline lower-level domain or slave domain node A on the master domain node or master node of the upper-level domain, but you do not switch node A to the single-node system or clear the upper-level NE IP address of node A.

Possible Cause

The registration password of the slave domain node or lower-level domain node is different from that of the master domain node or upper-level domain node, so the authentication fails.

Solution

  • Delete the faulty node A on the OMU portal of the master domain node or master node of the upper-level domain.

  • Register node A again.

    • If node A is a slave domain node: Switch node A to the single-node system and then back to the slave domain node and register node A with the master domain node again.

    • If node A is a lower-level domain node: Clear the upper-level NE IP address of node A and register node A with the master node of the upper-level domain.

  • Check whether the fault is rectified.

If the fault is rectified, no further action is required. If the fault persists, contact Huawei technical support engineers.

This is the solution, thanks for reading!
