Failure to Add Main Devices in Batches in eSpace IVS

Symptom

When you add main devices in batches on the Batch Import Devices page, the word "Failed" is displayed in the Status column and the message "Invalid setting of MDU_CODE." is displayed in the Causes column

Possible Causes

The device code or server code in the template for adding main devices is incorrect.

Solution

  1. Open the template for adding main devices in batches.
  2. Check device parameter settings and data formats
  3. explain for Device parameters

  4. Change the incorrect parameter setting format to decimal.

    • Select the parameter with an incorrect setting format.
    • Right-click the parameter and choose Setting unit format from the shortcut menu.
    • Choose digit > numeral.
    • Click OK.

  5. Save the current format and add the main devices in batches again.
  6. If the word "Failed" is still displayed in the Status column but the message in the Causes column changes to "The main device already exists", the main devices already exist. To solve the problem, select main devices that have not been added, and add them in batches again.
  7. Verify that the fault is rectified.
