This post provides the issue of failing to obtain the department. Please see more below.
ISSUE DESCRIPTION
After an attendant logs in to the SoftConsole, the message "Failed to obtain the department" is displayed in the department tree in the corporate directory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The IP address, account, or password of the AppAgent configured on the Console server is incorrect.
SOLUTION
1. On the Console server GUI, choose Start program > Start Settings and set the IP address of the AppAgent.
2. Contact the administrator to check whether the account and password of AppAgent is correct.
The account and password must be consistent with the Service ID and Password in the AppAgent Application Authentication on Functions > eSpace Maintenance of the BMU.
This would be the solution for the issue of failing to obtain the department.
