Hello everyone, after backup the database, we remove a user from HSS, then we restore the database, but cannot find the subscriber data of that user.

Product: HSS9860 V100R020C10SPC100

Can you please advise regarding how to solve this or determine the root cause, thank you.

Backup and restore were done as per this document.

Hi, friend!

I checked your question and you can try to restore the database manually:

  1. Open the MML Command - USCDB window.

  2. Run DSP BKPLIST to query the backup files.

  3. Run the RST DB command to restore the physical database. The restoration takes a couple of minutes, depending on the amount of data to be restored. Set Date stamp and Timestamp based on the value of Timestamp information displayed in the DSP BKPLIST command output.

  4. Run the DSP DB command to query the physical database restoration status.

  • If the value of the Database task state is Restore running, the physical database is being restored.

  • If the value of the Database task state is No running task, the physical database restoration is complete.

Hello Thomas, many thanks for your feedback I will try to restore it manually and test, but do you know the difference between the manual restoration and the other options such as loading data from master Node or specified directory or virtual machine disks, I mean from customer point of view he may ask why this should work and others not.

Manually restoring the physical database does not affect the normal running of the system.

Hi, friend!

May I ask which way you back up the database, is it U2000 or other clients? Different backup modes correspond to different restoration modes.

Of course, there are better solutions, but they are more complex to operate, and mishandling can lead to important failures. I suggest you contact the service support hotline. Global Service Hotline
