Failed to execute the FusionCare 0BS3.0 automatic acceptance task

This post will share a case about how to solve the failure to execute the FusionCare 0BS3.0 automatic acceptance task.

Problem Description

Product version: Product version: Huawei Cloud Stack 8.1.0, FusionCareV100R005SPC614.

When an OBS3.0 automatic acceptance task is created in FusionCare, the task is suspended at 66% and a task execution failure is reported one minute later.

The error message is 'Failed to get the plugin(ManageOne) parameter, Error message:get_param_valuefailed. Key: region0_id.

Problem Analysis

1. In this environment, two regions are deployed, with one set of FusionCarebeing deployed in each region.

lFusionCare automatic acceptance task principle: create a task in FusionCare on the active node and deliver the task to two execution VMs (the system executes the task on the less-loaded VM based on the load of the two VMs). The executor queries the FusionCare VM, task information and environment information based on the FusionCare IP address in the configuration file. The executor VM logs in to the HCS to execute the task based on the obtained task information and environment information. 

2. Check the execution information of the executor. It is found that the IP address of FusionCare queried on the executor is not the IP address of FusionCare that delivered the OBS3.0 automatic acceptance task, but the IP address of FusionCare in another region. In addition, the task information and environment information are empty. According to the related engineers, the switchover between the active and standby sites has been performed in this environment. The FusionCare IP address configured on the executor is the IP address of the secondary site.

Root Cause

After a switchover is performed between the active and standby sites, the FusionCare IP address in the configuration file on the FusionCareexecutor is not automatically updated. As a result, the executor information fails to be queried.

Solution

1. Change the IP address of FusionCare on the FusionCare executor to the IP address of FusionCare at the active site:

cd /opt/ServiceTool/FusionCare/FusionCareItemService/conf

cd /opt/ServiceTool/FusionCare/FusionCareItemServi

vim platform.ini

vim platform.ini

vim platform.ini

2. Run the itemservicemgr script to restart FusionCareItemService:

cd /opt/ServiceTool/FusionCare/FusionCareItemService/bin

sh itemservicemgr restart

sh itemservicemgr restart

3. On FusionCare at the active site, perform the OBS3.0 automatic acceptance task again.
