Failed to configure SFTP for event logs

Not able to configure SFTP in Oceanstor Dorado 8000 V6 storage for event logs dumping. Able to ping SFTP from storage. Also checked to access SFTP by winNCP application that are able to access.

Handling Process

We checked the logs. The storage can connect with 192.168.252.37 but the user or password is invalid hence the connection cancelled.

Then, the same in lab, it’s working fine.

Root Cause

The SFTP login credentials have issue hence unable to configure in the storage side. After modify the credentials and rights able to configure in the storage and event can be dump into the SFTP server.

Solution

Modify the credentials and rights able to configure in the storage and event can be dump into the SFTP server.

After internal modification now it’s working fine.

We can receive a test notification. We tested both storage and both storages can get test event.
