This post will tell you one issue for Extended subrack problem for the OSN 3500.
Problem description
Switch the main subrack in running status to an extended subrack, which connects to a new OSN 3500 NE. When the physical slots of the new subrack are checked, boards in the new extended subrack are not displayed. In addition, the tributary board in the extended subrack on the T2000 is also offline. The NE software version is 5.21.12.43.
Handling procedure
After the OSN 3500 main subrack is switched to extended subrack, the tributary board in the subrack is not reset and the correct slot ID is not obtained.

Solution
(1) Check that the cable connections between the main subrack and extended subrack are correct.
(2) Soft reset the SCC and AUX boards of the main subrack and extended subrack. However, the problem persists.
(3) Remove and then insert the offline board to perform hard resetting. After the board obtains the new slot ID, the board status is recovered.
