Hello colleagues please help to understand 

  1. Can 80-wavelength and 96-wavelength systems  be interconnected

  2. The transmission capacity supported by an OMS section must be the same ?

  3. All wavelengths in an 80-wavelength system can pass through a 96-wavelength system ?

  4. All wavelengths in a 96-wavelength system can pass through an 80-wavelength system ?

  5.  One end of the OMS section is an 80-wavelength system, and the other end is a 96-wavelength system. In this case, the capacity of the OMS section is the capacity of the 80-wavelength system ?

According to the preceding screenshots, the extended C band network described the network that supports both traditional C band and extended C band by default.


Description of interconnection between 96-wavelength and 80-wavelength systems for Huawei equipment:

1. The 80-wavelength and 96-wavelength systems can be interconnected by optical multiplex section (OMS). In each OMS, the transmission capacities of the 80-wavelength and 96-wavelength systems are the same.

2. The boards of the 80-wavelength and 96-wavelength systems can coexist in an OMS. In this case, the OMS supports only the capacity of 80 wavelengths.

3. Wavelengths 81 to 96 of the 96-wavelength system cannot be transmitted in the 80-wavelength system, but the first 80 wavelengths can be transmitted.

4. If an 80-wavelength system board is installed at one end and a 96-wavelength system board is installed at the other end of an OMS, the capacity of the OMS is equal to the capacity of an 80-wavelength system.
